Oct. 23rd - On today’s rhetorical devices test, was it easier to recognize devices from their definitions or identify them in quotations? Explain why, and discuss a device that challenged you, if any. What did this experience reveal about how well your study habits prepared you?

It was easier for me to recognize rhetorical devices from their definitions because I had spent more time memorizing them than identifying them in quotations. One device I found challenging was metonymy because it can be difficult to distinguish from other devices, which showed me that I should practice applying the definitions rather than just memorizing them.

On October 23rd, we took a test on rhetorical devices that covered their definitions and how to identify them in examples.

The test helped me see how well I understood the rhetorical devices and showed me which areas I should focus on when studying in the future.
