Sept 2: Prompt: Today, we learned how writers create a clear line of reasoning by connecting a claim, evidence, commentary, and conclusion. Which part of building an argument is most challenging for you, and why?

The most challenging part of building an argument for me is finding the evidence and making a good explanation for it. I struggle with coming up with credible evidence when not given sources.

Today, we learned how writers create a clear line of reasoning by connecting a claim, evidence, commentary, and conclusion. We also worked with our groupmates to build an introductory paragraph.

Working with my groupmates helped me understand how each part of an argument connects and how a strong introduction can set up the rest of an essay.
